Hello guys!!! what’s up? By the way, do you know English Village which is located in Pare, Kediri? I am sure that you have known it. Because it is so famous not only in Indonesia but also a board. But, have you known the people behind the establishment of it? People rarely know about it. if you have not known it, i am going to tell you about it here. Happy Reading!!!!

The People Behind The Establishment of English Village

Mr. Kalend Osen is the pioneer who develops English course in Pare, Kediri. He was a comer from Kalimantan staying in pare. He was one of students in Gontor Islamic Boarding School, Ponorogo before coming to Pare. Because he got financial problems, he could not  continue his study in Gontor. Then, Some of his teachers  and his friends advised him to come to Pare, exactly in Darul Fallah, which is a Traditional Islamic Boarding School led by Kyai Ahmad Yazid bin Thohir who is able to use more than 10 foreign languages.
Kyai Yazid was one of charismatic islamic leader in Pare. But the information about him is very difficult to be obtained by me. Some people told to me that he was one of the adviser and teacher of the first President of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno, especially when Soekarno was studying some languages. We know that Soekarno was the polyglot or expert in using some languages but we rarely know who is his teacher, except he ever learnt in MULO and mingled with some Dutch people.
The legacy of mr. Yazid which was famous to be known by the pare villagers is the library in Darul Fallah. The library contained many book that was using more than 15 foreign languages, but it was very apprehensive that the books was stolen and lost, so the library had been closed since the last 1990’s.
Mr. Kalend was being the best pupil taught by Yazid. He was given trust to change the teacher’s position to teach some languages for other pupils. Especially some students came to pare to learn english. Mr. Kalend attempted to develop his method for teaching english. Mr. Kalend capability for teaching english was spread mouth by mouth from his pupils. So more and more people came to him to learn it. Finally, They opened english course named BEC (Basic English Course) by using the curriculum which is developed by himself, it was based on his experiences within teaching english. This method is being basic curriculum of teaching english which is common used in pare and it is developed continuously.

My Dream City

Mecca     Mecca is the major city of Saudi Arabia. Here, there is a holy mosque called Masjidil Haram with Ka'bah inside of it. It is a holy place of Moslem. Ka'bah is used as a benchmark towards the qiblah for Moslem throughout the world pray. not only Masjidil Haram but also all parts of this city are holy place of Moslem and the birthplace of our prophet Muhammad SAW. This city is a city where i want to visit the most. I imagine how beautiful Masjidil Haram is. I am sure that all moslems want to go there someday. I and my family will be very lucky if we can go there someday. It is my dream country. I think Mecca is the most amazing city ever. I want to pray there, pilgrim or umrah because it is our obligation as a moslem to do that. Although, it is just for people who are able to go.
